Take a deep breath and let it out - the crispness of spring is in the air! We can think of very few better ways to celebrate than with our two NEW Feature Drinks!
The first combines a buttery warmth with aromatic spices, and the second offers complex toasted notes. Each pair perfectly with the spring season and help turn a cold winter cooped up inside into a distant memory.
The new drinks are available at all K Brew locations through the end of April, and we know you’re going to love them.
Here’s the details…
Golden Coconut Chai
Created by our Barista, Elle Eldrith, the Golden Coconut Chai is a warm spiced, nutty beverage that can be served with or without espresso, much like a traditional chai. The caramelized sugars in the coconut milk give it a buttery richness, and there’s a bit of warmth from the aromatic spices. It’s also chock full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties due to the number of whole spices in the reduction.
The syrup is naturally vegan and gluten-free and will remain if paired with our dairy alternatives, oat, and almond milk.
This drink is available with/without espresso, similar to our standard Chai Latte. While the drink comes standard without espresso, a shot of espresso can be added to the drink for an additional charge.

Why Anti-Inflammatory Properties Are Important
Inflammation is a vital part of our immune systems and helps us fight infection and injury. But, sometimes the body can have too much inflammation, which can cause tissue damage and lead to life-threatening illnesses. Providing your body with anti-inflammatory drinks, foods, or nutrients can help you prevent inflammation and reduce your risks of those diseases. The natural whole spices in or Golden Coconut Chai are a great anti-inflamation source!
Caramel Miso Latte
Created by our Barista, James Floyd, The Caramel Miso Latte is toasty, familiar, yet complex. Let this sweet treat transport you to a cozier place. It’s a Latte served hot with a house-made Caramel Miso Sauce, featuring savory-sweet complexity. Think of it as an upgraded salted caramel latte.
Miso is a complex flavor. It is made by fermenting soybeans and koji, then creating a paste. Koji is a unique fermentation starter derived from mostly rice. It gives miso, sake, and soy sauce their unique flavors.
For this drink, we are using white miso. In Western translation, it is described as umami, which means satisfactory-ness/savory/satiating. When paired with our house-made caramel, it starts with an instant, complex, roasted toastiness which floats into a familiar caramel sweetness. The natural saltiness of miso, plus the umami flavor, makes this drink a uniquely delicious beverage.

Is Miso Common in Coffee?
Miso is most commonly used in Japanese dishes as a savory or umami element. Recently, it’s become more popular as an addition to drinks because it’s rich in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. The probiotics from the fermented process can aid in gut health. Miso is typically very salty, so you’ll find that it adds an intriguing savory note to anything you put it in.
